Autostore ControlSuite Service Won't Start

This could be because a previous installation of Autostore was installed.
If the software was removed it could be that not all components were deleted.
Issue could be that the Event Logs are still there and CS does not accept a new log with the same 8 characters:

Autostore Xerox EIP Connect.evtx

So we need to delete this log.
  • Stop the Windows Event log Service
  • Open Registry and browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog
  • Delete the "Autostore Xerox EIP Connect" key.
  • Browse to "C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs"
  • Delete the "Autostore Xerox EIP Connect.evtx" log file
  • Start the Windows Event Log Service
  • Start the Autostore ControlSuite Service.
